The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) is a professional organization dedicated to the care of children with cancer and blood disorders. We are the Long Island Chapter serving members from the Nassau and Suffolk Counties of Long Island. Our members are dedicated to promoting optimal nursing care for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and blood disorders as well as their families. It is our vision to promote expert leadership and mentorship in our healthcare practice. The Long Island chapter provides great professional networking opportunities as well as educational dinner forums and conferences for CEUs. Guidance in clinical practice is offered and a chance to participate in community outreach projects. Nurses, allied healthcare providers, students and corporate partners interested in APHON'S mission, are invited to join.
